Unborn child dies after pregnant woman shot

AKRON, OH According to authorities, a 29-year-old pregnant lady was shot on Sunday in Akron, killing her unborn child.

According to the police, the woman was receiving treatment for serious injuries when they were called to Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital at 12:30 a.m. on Sunday. Although she is still in the hospital, the woman should get better.

No arrests have been recorded, and no information regarding the circumstances leading up to the shooting has been made public. According to the police, their investigation is still ongoing.

In a statement, Police Chief Brian Harding expressed his serious worry over the violence that took place in our community over the weekend. We are looking into this event and our officers responded promptly.

In a statement, Akron Mayor Shammas Malik referred to the shooting as heartless and immoral.
