Two women arrested after $1,600 theft from Meijer: Brunswick Police Blotter

Center Road Theft

Following a suspected theft from Meijer at 8:30 a.m. on August 4, in which over $1,600 worth of products was taken, police detained two ladies. The woman’s car was found by police on Center Road near Interstate 71. Following a quick inquiry, the two women confessed to the theft and were led back to Meijer, where all of the goods were given back. After receiving a traffic penalty for plates belonging to another car and a theft citation, one of the women was freed, while the other was charged with felony theft and brought to the Medina County Sheriff’s Office.

North Carpenter Road Theft

At 6:40 p.m. on July 27, police received a Flock camera warning of a stolen car from the Cleveland Heights Police Department, leading to the arrest of a Euclid man. The driver was taken into custody after the car was found in a North Carpenter Road parking lot. He was detained and turned over to Cleveland Heights Police after it was discovered that he had an outstanding felony theft warrant from the Cleveland Heights Police Department.

Center Road shoplifting

At 3:39 p.m. on July 28, a Valley City man was taken into custody for felony theft after he stole over $2,000 worth of sports trading cards from Meijer. Officers identified and stopped a 2009 Kia Spectra on I-71 based on the suspect’s description and the vehicle that was provided. In the back seat of the car was a green tote bag that contained the stolen cards. After being detained, the man was brought to the Medina County Jail.

Pearl Road, Falsification

At 11:15 p.m., a car’s passenger was pulled over for a driving infraction. Aug. 4 provided officers with false information about who she was, and the Medina County Sheriff’s Office subsequently discovered that she had a felony probation violation warrant. She was turned over to the Medina County Sheriff’s Office after receiving a citation for falsification.

Center Road shoplifting

At 6:23 p.m. on July 29, a guy was taken into custody for stealing over $350 worth of goods at Meijer.
