LOUISIANA — The East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office has made a twelfth arrest in an ongoing investigation into alleged gang activity and drug trafficking, authorities announced Friday.

Deputies were called to a residence on Mobile Drive where a safe was reportedly being used to store drugs and cash.

Upon executing a search warrant, the Gang Intelligence Unit discovered 508 Alprazolam pills, 3.9 grams of cocaine, and 16.8 grams of fentanyl—an amount equivalent to approximately 168 lethal doses. Deputies also seized $34,960 in cash.

Johnny Richardson, 38, was arrested at the scene and booked on multiple drug charges and money laundering.

The arrest follows Monday’s announcement of 11 others taken into custody as part of a broader investigation targeting alleged members of the “Vultures” gang. Officials say some suspects may face federal charges as the case progresses.

The investigation remains ongoing.
