Three people arrested following drug bust in Virginia

The state of Virginia According to the Buchanan County Sheriff’s Office, three people from the Rowe neighborhood of Buchanan County were taken into custody on Friday after a search warrant resulted in the discovery of illegal drugs and property thought to have been bought with the proceeds of drug sales.

During the raid, authorities seized large amounts of cocaine, marijuana, mushrooms, and fentanyl.

Five vehicles, three motorbikes, a side-by-side utility vehicle, two trailers, and multiple guns were also among the many objects and vehicles seized.

Among those detained are:

  • Joseph Cyle Keen, 65, of Rowe
  • Wanda Lou Keen, 65, of Rowe
  • Nicholas Cyle Keen, 38, of Rowe

Each is charged with both conspiracy to distribute a Schedule I or II controlled substance and distribution of a Schedule I or II controlled substance. As the inquiry goes on, more charges are anticipated.

According to the sheriff’s office, more information regarding the amounts of drugs and the approximate worth of the confiscated property would be made public the following week.

The Southwest Virginia Regional Jail Authority Haysi Facility is now holding the three without bond. The date of their arraignment hearing is July 7.
