Suspect throws a punch and flees from Game On: Avon Lake police blotter

AVON LAKE, Ohio


Disturbance: Walker Road

On June 28, police responded to Game On for a fight. A person punched a patron and fled. Officers were able to identify a suspect and completed follow-up investigation.


OVI: Canterbury Road

On July 4, a driver was stopped for a traffic violation and arrested on a charge of operating under the influence.


Theft: Campus Court

On June 18, an elderly woman reported someone withdrew $14,298.50 from her account.


Theft: Belle Road

A landscaper reported that someone stole equipment from in front of his truck on June 18. He was working in the backyard at the time of theft and saw a tan minivan leave the area. Officers checked houses with video doorbells in the area and were unable to locate any footage of the incident.


Suspicious activity: Webber Road

On June 18, a woman reported she was being stalked by a man she no longer wanted to have contact with. All parties were advised.


Suspicious activity: Lake Road

Officers were dispatched for a report of a person who might have been hit by a car on June 19. The person had actually jumped out of a moving vehicle and was not struck. They were taken to the hospital for evaluation.


Disturbance: Signature Parkway

On June 21, officers responded to a call in which a woman reported another woman entered her home without her permission, and verbally and physically assaulted her before leaving the residence.
