SAN FRANCISCO, California — Pop superstar Katy Perry had a scare during her Lifetimes Tour stop at San Francisco’s Chase Center on Friday when the large butterfly-shaped flying contraption she was riding suddenly dipped several feet mid-air, nearly causing her to fall into the crowd,

Fans captured the tense moment as Perry halted while singing “Roar,” gripping the prop tightly before regaining control and continuing the performance.
Video footage posted online
shows the prop jolting unexpectedly, sparking a concerned reaction from the singer as she looks up after she was dropped suddenly. She quickly composed herself, continued singing “Roar” and added a moment of humor with “Not today, Satan.”
According to People Magazine
, Perry later shared a close-up image of her expression during the malfunction on her Instagram Story, captioned simply “Good Night San Fran.”
The incident marks the second stage gear scare in recent weeks, following a similar malfunction during an Australian show on June 29, People said.

The prop, designed to carry Perry above the crowd, suddenly tilted just seconds after rising, causing her to lose her footing briefly. She clutched the internal frame to steady herself while the crew quickly intervened to safely lower the sphere,
