Parking complaint leads to assault and fender bender: Strongsville Police Blotter

Police were called to The Towers at Fallingwater on July 19 in response to an incident at the Pearl Road condominium complex.

The caller, who was speaking to an incoming officer, claimed that following a small fender incident, he got into a fight with a man who shoved him to the ground.

The caller was initially upset because the man parked strangely in front of a building, the officer noted after speaking with both sides.

His car was interfering with the parking lot’s traffic flow.

The pushing match started when the caller went up to the man and threw water on him.

Nevertheless, the caller erred by leaving his vacant car in park.

A 2015 BMW was then gradually struck by the 2022 Chevy.

The latter’s owner might be reached by the officer. There were no charges brought.

The caller told an arriving officer that a female customer was hiding meat and steak in the home appliances section with two other suspects.

She attempted to take a TV and sound bar from a cart but was unsuccessful.

The four minors were all accused of shoplifting.

Theft, Pearl Road: In response to a theft report at the Pearl Road store, police were called to Giant Eagle on July 19.

The caller told an arriving officer that a man was hiding things.

The Cleveland resident, who also had warrants, was arrested by an incoming officer.

He was accused of shoplifting and detained pending transportation.

Harper Road dog barking: On July 19, a frustrated homeowner called the police to report that their neighbor’s dog had been barking nonstop since the wee hours of the morning.

The dog’s owner, who was not home, was contacted by an incoming police officer.

The complaint was shared with her. There were no charges brought.
