Mississippi Two people have been charged by the Tunica County Sheriff’s Office in relation to the shooting death of a minor on Friday night.
On June 20, at around 5:00 p.m., deputies responded to a 911 call in the 1100 block of Cypress Drive.
When they arrived, they discovered a Black male adolescent who had been shot and was not responding.
Tunica County Coroner Glenn Grant declared the man dead at the spot despite the efforts of Pafford EMS and other first responders.
Two individuals were taken into custody for interrogation after an initial investigation.
Since then, they have been located and charged. Decardous Davis, Jr., age 18, and a juvenile, age 17, are the suspects.
Both people are charged with several offenses, such as:
- First Degree Murder
- Drive-By Shooting
- Conspiracy
- Shooting from a Motor Vehicle
- Unlawful Discharge of a Firearm within a Populated Area
