One person dead following vehicle crash in South Carolina

South Carolina The South Carolina Highway Patrol said that a driver died Monday afternoon when their pickup vehicle collided with a downed tree on S.C. 102.

Around 5:20 p.m., a deadly collision happened close to the Bear Creek Road intersection.

According to troopers, a 2003 Chevrolet pickup truck struck a tree that was obstructing the traffic lane while it was heading north.

Following the first collision, the car swerved off the road’s right side and collided with another tree.

After being transported to a neighboring hospital, the driver passed away from their wounds. The victim’s identity has not yet been made public.

Investigations into the crash are still ongoing.
