KENTUCKY According to Kentucky State Police, a collision near the intersection of Clare Road and Franklin Road on Saturday morning resulted in the death of one woman.
KSP was alerted by the Allen County Sheriff’s Office and arrived shortly after 6 a.m.
According to the preliminary investigation, Carolyn Brandon, 72, of Franklin, was trying to turn left onto Franklin Road while driving an eastbound 2008 Chevrolet Colorado on Clare Road.
Brendan Ploughe, 26, of Scottsville, was driving a westbound 2020 Toyota Camry when her car got in the way of it.
After being transported to Franklin Medical Center, Brandon passed away from her wounds.
Jonathan Blackman, a passenger in Brandon’s car, was sent to Greenview Regional Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. After being transported to Bowling Green Medical Center, the ploughe received treatment for non-life-threatening wounds.
The inquiry is still under progress.
