South Carolina The Lake City Police Department reports that one person was killed and another critically injured Thursday in a late-night altercation on Simmons Street.
Two people were hurt when officers arrived on the scene around 10:30 p.m. EMS took both to a nearby hospital, where one was later declared deceased.
According to Florence County Coroner Keith von Lutcken, the surviving victim was shot, while the deceased had incised wounds.
Although police think the event was family-related, they have not yet made the names of individuals involved public until all family members have been fully notified.
