South Carolina The Fairfield County Coroner’s Office reports that a woman was killed Tuesday in an accident on Interstate 77 involving a motorcycle and a tractor-trailer.
The collision happened close to Winnsboro’s mile marker 46.
Kathleen E. Hodge, 60, of Darlington, lost control of her motorcycle and struck a tractor-trailer, according to the authorities. At the scene, she was declared deceased.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol, Fairfield County Sheriff’s Department, and Fairfield County Coroner’s Office all responded to the collision.
Investigations into the incident are still ongoing.
