South Carolina The South Carolina Highway Patrol reports the death of a person who was gravely hurt in a moped accident earlier this month.
Troopers said the crash happened around 4:17 a.m. on June 16 along Beaver Dam Road near Morris Drive.
The victim was riding a 2014 Yamaha moped southbound when they collided with a deer and were thrown onto the roadway.
The rider was taken to a hospital for treatment but later died from their injuries, officials said Wednesday.
The deceased’s name has not yet been made public by the coroner’s office.
Investigations into the crash are still ongoing.
