Tennessee Early Thursday morning, just south of Nashville’s downtown, a person was hit by a train and died.
According to Metro police, the incident happened close to the 1400 block of Third Avenue South at roughly 2:30 in the morning.
The person was struck by a CSX train and died as a result of their injuries. The body was discovered near to a business parking lot along the tracks.
Investigators are attempting to ascertain the reason of the crash, and the medical examiner arrived on the scene to retrieve the deceased.
