One person arrested for selling drugs to high school students in Alabama

Alabama Following an investigation into alleged unlawful drug sales involving high school children, the Shelby County Drug Enforcement Task Force has detained a man.

On Friday, June 20, investigators carried out two search warrants at Anfernee Richardson’s home in the Chelsea/Inverness neighborhood.

The Shelby County Patrol Division presented information that prompted the start of the inquiry.

Authorities claim they found a gun, five grams of oxycodone, and about 8.5 pounds of marijuana during the search. At the location, drug paraphernalia was also discovered.

Two counts of drug trafficking and unauthorized possession of drug paraphernalia were brought against Richardson after his detention. Later, after posting a $101,000 bond, he was freed from the Shelby County Jail.

The inquiry is still under progress.
