Missouri Authorities found a significant amount of methamphetamine hidden in a Sedalia man’s car, leading to him being charged with several criminal offenses.
Following a search by the Mid-Missouri Drug Task Force and the Sedalia Police Department, Joseph Edwards, 47, was taken into custody on June 18.
A search warrant was carried out by officers at a residence at 1701 East 4th Street as part of a continuing investigation into possible meth trafficking.
Officers searched Edwards’ car and discovered over a quarter pound of methamphetamine secreted in a hidden compartment.
Edwards faces charges of possession of a controlled narcotic and second-degree drug trafficking. He is being jailed on a $100,000 bond at the Pettis County Jail.
