Alabama A Birmingham man was arrested and drugs, cash, and equipment related to drugs were seized as a result of a search warrant that was carried out by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Detectives and the Sheriff’s Neighborhood Enforcement Team (SNET).
On Thursday, June 26, authorities searched the 8000 block of 1st Avenue South. Marcus Latrell Johnson, age 26, was arrested during the operation.
Two counts of drug trafficking, unlawful possession of a prohibited narcotic, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia are among the numerous allegations against Johnson.
He has a $158,000 bond and is being held at the Jefferson County Jail.
During the search, investigators found 11.5 grams of a fentanyl/methamphetamine complex, 1,146 grams of marijuana, 0.3 grams of oxycodone, $879 in cash, a digital scale, and packaging supplies, according to the sheriff’s office.
