MARYLAND The Cumberland Police Department reports that after a traffic check on Frederick Street Friday morning, a lady was given a citation for marijuana possession.
An officer requested the aid of a police K-9 unit during a routine traffic check at around 9:35 a.m. on June 20.
The car was searched when the K-9 detected the smell of drugs.
One of the residents, Cumberland resident Jennifer Diane Bible, 38, was discovered to be in possession of suspected crack cocaine during the search.
After being taken into custody, Bible was taken to the police headquarters. She was released pending trial after receiving a criminal citation for possessing a controlled dangerous substance—not cannabis.
