What is “My Dress-Up Darling” about?

The show focuses on the growing friendship and potential romance between Wakana Gojo, an introverted maker of Japanese dolls, and Marin Kitagawa, an outgoing classmate who is also one of the most popular girls at school.

When Marin discovers Wakana’s talent for sewing, she reveals her love of cosplay and enlists his help to improve her costumes. Over the course of the first season, the pair grow closer and become friends as Wakana helps create multiple costumes for Marin and other cosplayers.

By the end of Season 1, Marin has admitted she loves her friend, even if he fell asleep and did not hear her confession.
