Graduates of many eras enjoy all-school reunion

BRUNSWICK, Ohio Even though it was early in the evening, the Eagles Club Pavilion’s annual Brunswick All-School Reunion queues were already forming outside the entrance. People walked from other locations to meet old acquaintances and, presumably, make new ones, and parking spaces were filled barely an hour into the well-attended event.

Many of the early birds were commemorating their 50th or 55th year since graduation, and the majority were from the 1970s.

The event’s coordinator since 2003, Jan Hovater Middleton, was running around catching up with old acquaintances and taking pictures with her phone.

Every year on the first Friday in August, this popular gathering is free. Liquid refreshments are sold by the Eagles. Participants share finger appetizers they bring. The disc jockey is paid by donations. And everyone is continually talking about how much fun they had and how they are looking forward to the next one.

Mother Nature also helped by providing a lovely, cold evening, which made everything even better.
