Assault with intent: West Ridgewood Drive
Police were called to a residence on West Ridgewood Drive on July 23 after receiving a report of an injured elderly man.
The man and his wife were waiting outside their car when an incoming officer found them.
According to the lady, she and her husband were traveling west on West Ridgewood Drive when a car cut them off.
Following an altercation between the two drivers, the other driver hit the spouse in the head.
The person and the car in question were described by witnesses.
The police are looking into it.
Deerfield Drive scam
After learning that he had been conned, a resident of Deerfield Drive called the police on July 24.
The caller informed an arriving officer that an unidentified criminal had used Microsoft Defender to infiltrate his computer.
The con artist persuaded the resident that his bank account and computer had been compromised, and then gave him instructions to take out almost $20,000 in cash.
An unidentified individual was sent to the victim’s home with instructions to hand him the money.
The victim discovered he had been tricked when the criminals tried to defraud him a second time.
No one is suspected. The police are looking into it.
Trafficking of drugs: State Road
Due to the Jeep’s thick window tint and the driver’s failure to stop before reaching a State Road sidewalk, police stopped the vehicle on July 21.
The officer found a significant amount of suspected illegal drugs while speaking with the driver.
Drug trafficking is being investigated by the police.
The driver received a citation for halting on the sidewalk and illegally tinting his windows.
Snow Road Theft
Police were called to Marc’s on July 22 in response to a report of shoplifting at the Snow Road location.
The caller told an arriving officer that a female suspect was hiding stolen goods in her purse as she left the business.
When police approached a girl, she assaulted them as they were searching her purse.
She was taken into custody for violence and stealing.
Ridgewood Avenue was assaulted.
A homeowner on Ridgewood Avenue reported an attack in a car parked on the street to the police on July 22.
The driver, an 18-year-old guy from Brook Park, was found by an arriving police officer.
He was taken into custody for physically harming and threatening a female victim with a gun.
Pleasant Lake Boulevard was stolen.
When a resident of Pleasant Lake Boulevard realized their wallet was gone from their car, which was parked in the driveway, they alerted the police on July 24.
No one is suspected. The police are looking into it.
