Drunk woman gets stuck after driving car onto a rock: North Ridgeville police blotter

OVI: Center Ridge Road

Police were dispatched to Century Tavern on July 3 for a report of a drunk woman who drove onto a rock and was stuck. She was arrested and charged.


Fireworks complaint: Multiple locations

Officers cited several people for shooting off on July 3-5.


Drunk driving: Jaycox Road

On July 5, a man was stopped for driving erratically and nearly hitting other cars. He was arrested and charged with drunk driving.


OVI: Avon Belden Road

A driver was arrested and charged with drunk driving after a traffic stop on July 5.


Assault: No address

While being served with an emergency commitment on July 4, a man resisted by barricading himself in his home and assaulting a police officer that was attempting to take him into protective custody.


Drug possession: No address

On July 4, police responded to a disturbance involving a man and his ex-wife, who violated a protection order. She was arrested and faces charges of cocaine and drug paraphernalia possession, and illegal conveyance.


OVI: Amber Way

On June 25, police stopped a driver for a traffic violation and arrested. In the booking room, he refused to provide fingerprints. The man was cited for drunk driving, failure to control and OVI refusal and transported to Lorain County Jail.


Falsification: Lorain Road

An officer was dispatched to Taco Bell for a trespassing complaint on June 21. The suspect provided false information and was charged with misleading a public official.


Drunk driving: Avon Belden Road

On June 20, police responded to a crash. A driver was arrested and charged with operating under the influence and possession of a controlled substance.
