Royalton Road drunk driving: On July 13, cops noticed a Honda CR-V weaving east on Royalton Road.
The SUV blocked sidewalk traffic at the Bennett Road intersection by stopping with both of its back tires on the stop bar.
The officer smelt alcohol when he spoke to the female driver, who was returning home from seeing a friend.
The talkative woman, who also spoke slurredly, told the officer how she worked for DoorDash and Giant Eagle and why she didn’t have auto insurance.
The driver admitted to having two glasses of white wine two hours earlier when asked about the smell.
The woman was arrested for drunken driving after failing a field sobriety test, which included swaying occasionally and repeatedly missing heal to toe.
Additionally, she received citations for impeding crosswalks, weaving, and driving in designated lanes.
Drunk driving, Ridge Road: On July 13, officers noticed a black vehicle heading south on Ridge Road with its blinkers on.
After a while, the officer stopped the now-speeding car, which was moving at 46 mph in a 35 mph zone.
The drunken-smelling Cleveland motorist claimed to have visited a Parma bar before returning home.
It was clear that he was going in the wrong direction.
The man acknowledged drinking two beers when questioned about the smell.
The driver had help getting out of his sedan and then failed a field sobriety test because he was unable to cope with the physical demands of the test.
After failing a breathalyzer test, he was taken into custody for driving under the influence.
Police discovered a half-empty bottle of Long Island ice tea during a search of the car.
In addition, he received citations for open containers, unlawful window tinting, and speeding.
