Cleveland, Ohio The Guardians’ series finale against the Rockies on Wednesday won’t go as planned, but the team is counting on a pitcher who isn’t set in his ways.
According to role manager Stephen Vogt, lefty Kolby Allard will start what is anticipated to be a bullpen game.
Last night at dinner, I said, “Hey, are you ready to get started, Kolby?” Yes, everything you need, Vogt recalled from his talk with Allard prior to the game. All he wants to do is pitch. He initiated a game. In the third, he enters. He arrives on the 5th. In order to gain control, he arrived in the eighth inning. Kolby is really essential since he can pitch anytime we ask him to. It’s enormous to know that someone you know won’t be rattled or have a bad night’s sleep. He has done it all before.
These are the starting lineups for the Guardians vs. Rockies game on Wednesday.
Where: 6:40 p.m. ET at Progressive Field.
The game will be televised on CLEGuardians.TV, WTAM 1100 AM, WMMS 100.7 FM, WARF 1350 AM (Spanish), and the Guardians Radio Network.
