Car window busted at Village on the Green: Avon Lake police blotter

Criminal damage: Moore Road

On July 30, an officer was called to the Village on the Green Apartments after receiving a report of a damaged window in a car. Investigation revealed that an unidentified individual had entered one car and that another had been damaged. Neither car looked as if anything had been removed.

Roadblock: Fairport Drive

When an unruly young person caused a disturbance at a residence on August 8, police were called. The defendant was taken into custody and charged with vandalism, disruptive juvenile, obstructing government business, and domestic violence. They took him to Turning Point.

Walker Road overdose

On August 8, police arrived at Game On Bar and Grill in response to an overdose. After receiving Narcan, the woman was sent to the hospital.

OVI: Lake Road

Following a traffic stop on August 8, a driver was taken into custody and charged with operating under the influence and disobeying a police officer.

Ownership: Walker Road

A nearby care home received a police call on August 10 after a man and woman refused to leave. Off the property was where they were. There was an active warrant for the woman’s departure from Cuyahoga County. She was found in possession of suspected narcotics and drug paraphernalia during the arrest.

Service of the warrant: Forecastle Court

A man with an outstanding warrant was seen outside his home on August 7. The Westlake Police Department picked him up and placed him under arrest.

Forest Hill Drive is a fraud.

A woman claimed on July 27 that during the previous few years, many thousand dollars had been taken from her bank account.

Parkwood Avenue fraud

A man reported falling victim to a Facebook scam on July 31. He mailed a suspect in Modesto, California, postal money orders totaling $7,000.
