The city of Brooklyn, Ohio For the second consecutive year, the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce is organizing a different kind of golf trip.
Memphis Kiddie Park will host the second annual mini-golf fundraiser, which supports the scholarship and education program, on Thursday, July 31, from 5:30 to 8 p.m.
A hot dog, popcorn, drink, and 18 holes of golf are included in the $20 per person price.
There will be awards for the best team, worst team, and most inventive name in addition to a 50/50 lottery.
“Kiddie Park is kindly letting us use their space for this Brooklyn Cares fundraiser at no cost,” said Karam Hasrouni, president of the Chamber of Commerce and vice president of the Brooklyn City Schools Board of Education.
Adding a few extra fundraisers during the event itself excites us greatly. The best and worst teams will participate in a brand-new hole-in-one giveaway.
About 60 people participated in last year’s event, which raised $1,100.
Up to 150 people may come, according to the chamber president, who stated that the goal is to boost attendance.
Regarding the chamber’s Brooklyn Cares Foundation, the initiative serves as a means of reaching out to children from Brooklyn City Schools who are less fortunate.
According to him, Brooklyn Cares provides additional food at the end of the month, a coat during the cold months, books, and any other type of school supplies.
Donations to the Brooklyn Cares Foundation are now tax deductible due to the organization’s 501(c)(3) registration, which is crucial for businesses.
The chamber is preparing for its inaugural Brooklyn Home Days, which will be held at Brooklyn Stadium’s Coach Jerry Younger Field on September 27 and 28.
There will be fireworks, entertainment, community activities, and vendors throughout the weekend.
“That will be our primary source of funding,” he stated. The event at Hurricane Alley is going to be fantastic.
We’re expanding not just for Brooklyn’s businesses but also for its citizens. We want the city, the chamber, and the schools to collaborate on this in order to achieve a shared objective.
