Ohio’s Fairview Park — The third annual Fairview Park Food Festival, which takes place along Lorain Road from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on August 9, is equal parts progressive meal and block party.
According to Mark Boepple, executive director of the Fairview Park Chamber of Commerce, “first year was awesome, second year grew 50%, and this year we’re hoping to have hundreds of people walking up and down Lorain Road enjoying delicious food along the Fairview Park culinary mile.”
There were ten eateries when we first started. We have eleven this year, plus the Jade Owl Cafe, which is new to Fairview Park, will be taking part in the culinary festival.
A sample tapas (essentially an appetizer) from participating restaurants is included in festival food passports.
Raan Thai, Reilly’s Irish Bakery, Mangia Bella Italian Goods, Omar’s Turkish Grill, Sauced Wood Fired Pizza, Fairview Tavern, Nuevo Acapulco (beef tacos), Gunselman’s Tavern, JJ’s Pizza, and The Jade Owl Caf are among the eateries taking part in the Fairview Food Festival.
According to Boepple, attendees comment on the quantity and quality of the food, with to-go containers being encouraged.
According to him, the restaurants make a concerted effort to rotate their tapas each year, so there’s always something new.
Additionally, participants receive passport stamps for each visit, which are then entered into a sweepstakes with the winners earning gift cards to Fairview Park restaurants: $500 for first place, $250 for second place, and $100 for third place.
Due to the addition of a restaurant, the 2025 food passports cost $30, $5 more than the previous year.
In order to draw clients, Fairview Park companies are opening earlier or on Saturday even though they are normally closed on that day, he added, after noticing a large number of people strolling up and down Lorain Road.
During the festival, other companies will entice people to seek air conditioning instead of the heat, according to the executive director.
According to him, Fairview Park is teeming with individually run eateries serving a wide variety of cuisines.
There are flavors and sensations from all over the world here.
