Assault, Summitview Drive: Police were called to the recreation facility on July 22 in reference to an assault that had taken place in the gym on Summitview Drive.
The caller told an approaching officer that she had let the young people look inside the basketball courts to see if any games were in progress before they had to pay to enter the building.
The woman gave them the courtesy, but she soon discovered they hadn’t come back.
Another player spoke up after addressing the young players.
He fell to the ground when one of the young people shoved him in the chest.
Before the officer got there, the suspects ran away.
The police are looking into it.
Disturbance, Pleasant Valley Road: On July 20, police were called to an overdose at a residence on Pleasant Valley Road.
The caller learned her husband was not responding when she spoke with an incoming officer.
The woman stated that she could wake him up routinely when he was like that, even though this wasn’t necessarily unusual.
He has a history of drug misuse, the woman added.
The man was taken to the hospital by first responders after they successfully revived him.
She also showed the officers the man’s belongings, which included two glass pipes, a metal pipe, white rocks, a white powdery substance, and a screwdriver that was covered in charred residue.
For his unruly behavior, the man received a citation.
