Drunk driving, Pearl Road: On August 4, a worried bystander reported a potentially drunk guy trying to enter a car to the police.

Later, an officer saw a man who fit the witness description weaving on Pearl Road in a black 2009 BMW 650.

The officer smelled alcohol when speaking with the driver.

The Parma resident was detained for drunk driving after failing a field sobriety test.

He received a weaving citation as well.

North Church Drive attack: On August 3, police were called to North Church Drive in reference to an attack.

The caller told an arriving officer that they had been struck by an unidentified individual who accused them of meddling in their personal affairs.

The caller had minor injuries, according to the police. No one is suspected.

The police are looking into it.

Property damage, Huffman Road: Due to a disagreement, police were called to a residence on Huffman Road on August 2.

The caller told a responding officer that the altercation was between two people who had once been romantically involved.

The glass broke as one party pounded on the window in an attempt to attract the other’s attention.

Police are looking into the matter, but no charges have been brought.

Fraud, Kingsdale Boulevard: A resident of Kingsdale Boulevard called the police on August 2 after learning that their paycheck, which was paid via direct deposit, had been unknowingly deducted from a bank account.

No one is suspected. The police are looking into it.

Property damage, Pearl Road: In response to a report of property damage, police were called to a Pearl Road company on August 1.

An midnight worker was cleaning windows when an incoming police spoke with him.

One window broke on the floor after falling out of its frame.

The property owner was informed, and the police were alerted to the event.
