Ohio’s Middleburg Heights — After breaking into Honda of Middleburg Heights, 7700 Pearl Road, and attempting to steal a car, a 40-year-old Cleveland man was taken into custody on August 10.
When a cleaning staff saw the man inside the garage with a bag over his shoulder at around two in the morning, they alerted the police.
There was a window in the back of the building where a rock had been thrown. The shattered glass was covered in blood.
The man then went out of the garage and toward Fowles Road, according to the cleaning team.
He was seated in the rear of the cruiser after the police noticed him.
Police discovered 12 or 13 car key fobs that the suspect had taken from the dealership inside his suitcase. A set of keys, a pipe, and two box-cutting knives were also present.
The man claimed to have a knife in his rectum as the cops drove him to the station. He was driven by police to Bagley Road’s Southwest General Health Center.
The individual was identified by police as a suspect in the 2021 break-in at an Audi shop. He was thought to have stolen a car from that dealership.
Additionally, police discovered that the individual was wanted by the Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Office for misdemeanor offenses in Lakewood and Westlake as well as breaking and entering.
Police discovered multiple wallets and credit cards that weren’t the man’s during an inventory of his belongings.
