On his third part of what is now known as an MGK Day Weekend, the Cleveland native Machine Gun Kelly (now known as the ever-so-brief MGK) provided the goods, and fans flocked to drink up his dynamic energy. They were unable to get enough of anything.
Beginning Friday with a sold-out performance at Jacobs Pavilion on the West Bank of the Flats and a Vegas-style after-party at FWD nightclub on the East Bank across the Cuyahoga River, thousands of people were buzzing throughout the whole weekend.
Promoting the release of his most recent album, Lost Americana, which was released on Friday, MGK was in a festive mood.
Before coming to the Cleveland lakefront for the thrilling Street League Skateboarding takeover at North Coast Yard, supporters flocked to the Now That’s What I Call Brunch at 27 Club cafe in the Flats on Saturday, continuing the celebration. Fans concluded the evening with a pub crawl with an MGK theme that wound through the Flats and Warehouse District, while the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame joined in the fun by sponsoring a free Lost Americana pop-up store. The lanky rock star’s schedule required you to take proper gulps of his 27 Club coffee.
