BRUNSWICK, OH — According to Hannah Wasylko, the operations manager for the company, Baskets Galore has always been more about the galore than the baskets since its inception more than 20 years ago.
When the company announced on August 8 that it was changing its name to MODA Gifting—a combination of mother and daughter—Wasylko commented, “This new name celebrates our roots while also representing our wider collection of modern, thoughtful gifts, not just baskets anymore.”
Deborah Wasylko, who was named the Medina County Economic Development Corp. Entrepreneur of the Year in 2023, established Baskets Galore in 2003 by utilizing her process engineering experience as well as her love of marketing and design. She stated that her goal was to establish a business that provided gourmet, locally inspired, and personalized branded presents to a worldwide clientele.
Hannah Wasylko, Deborah’s daughter, became the company’s operations manager in 2022, contributing marketing expertise and new insights. The mother-daughter duo upholds the newly renamed MODA Gifting’s commitment to providing superior presents with outstanding taste and design, according to Hannah Wasylko.
According to her, it’s not often that a mother and daughter get along as well as we do, much alone manage an entire business together. Our favorite argument for its modernity and novelty is because it represents mother-daughter.
Deborah Wasylko went on to say that the company’s luxury gifting approach has always included the idea of family, and the new name further embodies this goal.
