Random traffic cones create a real-life agility course: Russell Township police blotter

Ohio’s Russell Township —

Music Street traffic hazard:

At 4:26 p.m. on July 22, a driver reported that the placement of the road construction cones posed a driving danger to the police after she struck a plastic cone in the road with her car. After witnessing many vehicles either hit the cones or veer left of center to avoid them, a responding officer who had arrived on the scene concurred with her. The cones were positioned at random across the road’s mended sections. The police took them off and left a voicemail for the road superintendent.

Kinsman Road trespassing:

At 7:17 a.m. on July 21, a Town Hall employee reported trespassers at the Community Building to the police. Two men were discovered by a responding officer, who instructed them to depart.

Problems with the neighbors, Spring Valley:

On July 21, at 9:37 a.m., a woman complained that her neighbor was constantly mowing her yard and entering her property. She stated that she doesn’t want him on her land and thinks that because he is elderly and lives alone, he might be confused. He mowed a strip of grass near to the property border, which she showed the attending officers. When asked, the neighbor claimed that he was mowing the trees because he felt that he was helping her, but he would no longer do so. Officers concluded that the man was doing well and was not in danger.
