Ohio’s Highland Heights — In its first season, StoneWater Golf Club’s PGA Junior League team finished second in the Cleveland East League in terms of total points and had a perfect 4-0 record.

In a statement, coach and StoneWater teacher Joe Meglen said, “This season, our team showed up and played with heart, grit, and plenty of team spirit.” Since this was our first season in the league, we had really high hopes.

Our StoneWater PGA Junior League program gained international recognition thanks to this amazing staff, and we’re only getting started.

Two of the team’s golfers, Cooper Wiegner and Mackenzie Atrzner, were selected to the Cleveland East All-Star Team as a result of their exceptional play. Both will later compete for the league’s all-star team.

One of the best developmental team golf programs for kids is the PGA Junior League, which provides an enjoyable, welcoming, and team-oriented approach to the sport. With its scramble formats, team uniforms, and Little League-style ambiance, it fosters young players’ confidence and skill development both on and off the course.

The Shaker Country Club golfers won the championship based on total points, even though the Stonwater team remained undefeated. Teams from ten local golf and country clubs participated in the competition.

Players of all skill levels can access and take advantage of the opportunities at the semi-private StoneWater Golf Club, located at 1 Club Drive in Highland Heights. The club’s dedication to development, inclusivity, and a passion for the game was demonstrated by the Junior League team, which was also coached by Christian Barto, having no membership restrictions.

The StoneWater team is looking ahead after a fantastic inaugural season. On February 5, 2026, registration for the 2026 season will start.
