Seven Hills resident and Padua Franciscan High School senior named Miss Ohio Teen USA 2025

Ohio’s Seven Hills — Helyna Park, a senior at Padua Franciscan High School, has had a great summer.

At the state competition in Portsmouth on July 19, the Seven Hills resident emerged victorious as Miss Ohio Teen USA 2025.

“I was shocked to hear my name called as the winner,” Park, 17. I didn’t know how to react. This isn’t real, I thought as I trembled.

Because it was something you had been looking forward to, it was simply one of those times when you felt so at peace. Being fortunate enough to have this opportunity is simply unthinkable.

Park became the first Lebanese American to win Miss Teen Ohio USA, representing Cuyahoga County.

She remarked, “It’s unbelievable that I’m in this role, representing Ohio nationally.” Being Miss Ohio Teen USA and competing nationally has always been a dream of mine as a child.

My mom has been really helpful, and I’ve been doing a lot of seminars with my coaches. My entire clothing and other exciting things were planned.

She will then represent Buckeye State in the Miss USA and Miss Teen USA pageants in Los Angeles this September.

“Obviously, it will be a dream come true if we win the crown, but it will also be a year of work,” she remarked.

I firmly believe in promoting my own platform, Helyna’s Healthy Habits, which emphasizes healthier eating practices and food transparency in the US. That is undoubtedly one of my objectives.

Park started participating in beauty pageants when she was ten years old, and she has won two national titles: Miss Ohio Captivating in 2023 and U.S. American junior team in 2022. However, the path to her most recent triumph started a year ago when she was crowned Miss Ohio Teen USA 2024 runner-up.

Naturally, there was pressure before the tournament this year.

But once Teen Universe International contacted her about representing the USA in the Dominican Republic this past April, where she ranked in the top five globally, Park claimed that finishing second turned out to be a blessing in disguise.

She claimed that not winning Miss Ohio Teen USA was a gift from God since it allowed her to travel abroad and get additional pageant experience.

I ultimately completed numerous sessions and improved both my stage and interview performance for the pageant. I was much more prepared to return to the States as a result.

Park has dedicated her time to pageants and the school ministry that helps the homeless, even though she used to play volleyball at Padua High School.

“I’m participating in Navy ROTC for college,” she stated.

I intend to enroll at the Naval Academy. I’m going to study aviation because I want to be a pilot in the Navy.

Laura, Park’s mother, is undoubtedly pleased with her daughter’s achievements.

“I’m very proud,” she said. It would be the second time Ohio has ever won the Team USA title if she prevails in Los Angeles.

There’s a saying that goes, “Your son can play in the NFL more easily than your daughter can win Miss USA.” You can see how proud I am of her just by looking at that.

Park’s mother joked that although she had no intention of trying out for the NFL, she does want to be an F1 driver.
