Missing child comes to resident’s door: Russell Township Police blotter

Riverside Drive, missing person:

On July 17, at 7:20 a.m., a resident called the police after discovering a missing youngster at their door. After locating the child’s guardian, officers gave them back custody of the child.

Support, Kinsman Road:

A report of an older guy sleeping for approximately three hours in a red truck prompted dispatch to send police and emergency medical personnel at 8:46 p.m. on July 14. EMS was helped on the call by police.

Suspicious, Chillicothe Road: An officer discovered a parked car with the driver seemingly dozing off in the front seat just before midnight on July 19. The car was parked in a closed gas station lot with the engine off. The man who was awakened claimed that he stopped for a little while because he was fatigued from driving.

Help, Coy Lane:

At 3:27 p.m. on July 19, police and firefighters arrived at a residence where an unauthorized open fire was occurring. There was help.

Conflict on Pekin Road:

A renter complained to police at 5:12 p.m. on July 19 that he had received a notice that his unit will be inspected that day, which he claimed violated the 24-hour notice regulation. It was suggested that the landlord hold off on accessing the unit for a week until the scheduled evection hearing. Outside of the courtroom session, neither party may speak to the other.

Civil case: Road Pekin:

On July 18, around 10:20 a.m., a resident went to the police station to report a cat that had gone missing from their barn. A report was submitted by the complainant.
