California’s San Diego Trey Parker and Matt Stone, co-creators of South Park, discussed their contentious Trump episode during a panel at San Diego Comic Con on Thursday.
Then Parker gave a snarky According to the Associated Press, we sincerely apologize for the White House’s outraged response to the most recent episode of the show’s 27th season.
A personified cartoon depiction of male genitalia with googly eyes was placed next to President Donald Trump in the satirical duo’s naked, AI-generated form in the Sermon on the Mount episode. The president was even shown lying in bed with Satan. Trump’s aggressive actions and a made-up $16 million media settlement were mocked in the scene.
According to AP, Parker and Stone opposed Comedy Central executives’ demands that the image be pixelated, eventually putting cartoon eyes to the genitalia to identify it as a character and get over censorship.
A significant corporate interruption occurred at the same time as the occurrence. The season debut was postponed due to Paramount Global’s merger with Skydance Media. Parker and Stone also finalized a five-year, $1.5 billion deal that grants streaming rights for both new and backlog episodes on the same day the program aired.
The new South Park satire has not been explicitly addressed by Trump in a public speech.
However, Taylor Rogers, the assistant press secretary for the White House, made a comment about Wednesday’s events to Fox Newson Thursday.
For years, the Left has been criticizing South Park for what they have called offensive content, but now they are praising the show, demonstrating their unending hypocrisy,” Rogers said. Like South Park’s founders, the Left lacks genuine or unique content, which is why their popularity keeps falling to all-time lows. This show has been out of business for more than 20 years and is clinging to its existence with cliched concepts in an effort to garner attention. No fourth-rate entertainment can end President Trump’s winning run, as he has fulfilled more promises in just six months than any other president in our nation’s history.
