Six people arrested following drug bust in Iowa

IOWA The Iowa State Patrol assisted the Oelwein Police Department in conducting two narcotics busts on Tuesday, which resulted in the arrest of six individuals.

Around 3:30 p.m., the first search warrant was carried out in the 10 block of 1st Avenue NE. Illegal narcotics were seized, and four individuals were taken into custody.

Christina Heins, 49, and James Crawford, 65, are accused of methamphetamine possession, child endangerment, and drug paraphernalia possession.

Alanda Starkey, 40, is accused of endangering children, possessing methamphetamine and marijuana, and possessing drug paraphernalia.

Taylor Johnson, 25, is accused of possessing marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and endangering children.

Around 5:00 p.m., the second search warrant was executed in the 200 block of 2nd Street SE, leading to the seizure of illicit narcotics and the arrest of two individuals.

Marissa Woods, 25, was charged with possession of marijuana, unauthorized possession of a prescription medicine, possession of drug paraphernalia, failure to affix a drug tax stamp, and possession with intent to manufacture or transport cocaine.

Garrett Boleman, 39, is charged with marijuana possession, drug paraphernalia possession, and interference with official activities.

Investigations are still ongoing in both incidents.
