South Carolina The Sumter County Coroner’s Office reports that a 31-year-old man lost his life in a motorbike accident close to Shaw Air Force Base earlier this week.
Robert Clark was named by authorities as the victim.
According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, Clark was on an eastbound Yamaha motorbike when he struck a 2020 Ford SUV that was crossing traffic from Loring Mill Road on the Broad Street extension.
Two of the SUV’s four passengers were taken to a hospital after suffering injuries. They have not been liberated from their conditions.
Next Monday, Clark will undergo an autopsy. The collision is still being looked into by the Sumter County Coroner’s Office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
