South Carolina Two people were killed in a boat accident in the Skull Creek neighborhood of Hilton Head Island on Friday night, and authorities are looking into the incident.
Following reports of a collision on the water, the U.S. Coast Guard, the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources, and the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office arrived on the scene at approximately 9:45 p.m.
According to deputies, there were four people in the boat. After being discovered injured, two people were sent to a nearby hospital for medical attention. At the scene, the other two were declared dead.
The Beaufort County Coroner’s Office is working to notify the victims’ next of kin, therefore their identities have not been made public.
Investigations into the incident are still ongoing.
