One person dead following vehicle crash in Ohio

Ohio Cincinnati police say a 49-year-old man died in a single-vehicle collision that occurred in the Carthage area on Saturday night.

Around 9:25 p.m., police arrived at the scene in the 300 block of West North Bend Road.

According to investigators, the man lost control of his 2000 Toyota 4Runner while traveling east when he hit a curb, veered off the road, and collided with a stationary object. What the car struck has not been disclosed by the authorities.

After being taken to UC Medical Center, the driver passed away from his wounds.

Whether the man was wearing a seatbelt is still unknown, according to the police. As potential contributing reasons, investigators are investigating excessive speed and impairment.
