Missouri Following a single-vehicle collision on Interstate 270 Friday evening, one woman has died and another is critically hurt.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that the collision happened at approximately 8:30 p.m. when a 2021 Honda Accord was heading east on I-270 close to the West Florissant Avenue exit.
The car swerved off the right side of the road, collided with a railing, proceeded off the exit ramp, and then struck an embankment, according to investigators.
After being taken to a neighboring hospital, a 26-year-old lady was eventually declared deceased. Additionally, a 32-year-old lady was hospitalized for treatment after suffering severe injuries.
At the time of the collision, neither woman was wearing a seat belt, according to troopers.
Troop C of the Missouri State Highway Patrol is still investigating the event.
