One person dead following motorcycle crash in Virginia

The state of Virginia On Thursday, June 19, a head-on collision in Chesterfield County claimed the life of a motorcyclist. The collision happened in the 3600 block of W. Hundred Road at approximately 3:30 p.m.

A Dodge Caliber was heading east on W. Hundred Road when it crossed the center line and collided head-on with a motorcycle, according to the Chesterfield County Police Department.

After being taken to a nearby hospital, the motorcyclist—who was later identified as 29-year-old Christopher D. Harding, Jr.—died on Friday, June 20 from his wounds.

Bradford G. Jordan, 56, the driver of the Dodge Caliber, was taken into custody on the spot and accused of driving under the influence.

According to the police, more charges are still pending while the investigation is ongoing. The Chesterfield County Jail is where Jordan is being detained at the moment.
